You might have seen BBC Four's "All Aboard! The Sleigh Ride" and "All Aboard! The Country Bus", but this is my contribution to the increasingly popular genre of slow, observational television programmes - think Big Brother but with chickens.
This video features one and a quarter hours of pure, unadulterated back garden chicken action - feeding, drinking, scratching, digging, dust bathing and generally getting up to mischief as only chickens know how.

I have two different breeds of chicken - Welsummers, which are coloured golden brown and lay brown eggs; and Cream Legbars, which are coloured grey/silver/cream and lay olive or powder blue eggs.
As you might be able to tell, my chickens are well pampered. It obviously does the trick, because even now in their fourth year they still manage to produce an egg every other day.
Depending on the popularity of this video, there might more frequent chicken antics from my back garden in the future!
