Welcome to Northumberland Snapper.
I consider myself very lucky to live in one of the most beautiful, remote and friendly parts of the UK - the rural county of Northumberland in the north east of England.
I've been snapping away with a compact camera for as long as I can remember, but have just recently taken the plunge and bought my first DSLR.
It's still early days, but I expect that many of my photographs will capture things relevant and important to me - the beautiful scenery of the north east of England, science and technology, local culture and transport.
I enjoy writing too, so I might pen a few articles along the way.
I have adopted the name Northumberland Snapper, because that's the place I call home. It doesn't mean all of my content will be directly related to Northumberland, although I'm sure much of it will be.
