DB Cargo Intermodal Train at Carlisle

Carlisle's Citadel Station is one of the busiest on the West Coast Mainline.

In addition to through WCML services, Carlisle acts as the terminus of the Tyne Valley Line to Newcastle, the Settle and Carlisle Line to Leeds and the Cumbrian Coast Line via Barrow-in-Furness.

Passing through the station this evening I saw 4S35, the 1424 DB Cargo Service from Seaforth C.T. Mdhc (Ews) to Mossend Down Yard, standing at platform 3 for a crew change. I decided to film the train as it departed from Carlisle. As with my earlier Ribblehead video, all I had to hand was my mobile phone so apologies if you notice a bit of shake on the footage.

This short video shows 4S35, consisting of 66067 (in EWS maroon and yellow livery) hauling a rake of mixed intermodal wagons, departing Carlisle platform 3 on the evening of 28th July 2020.
